Finally the message seen on the Olympics in Vancouver, lived from within, in the heart of the Olympic machine!
At the time of the closing ceremony, it was about time! So here, well it was good, the city was engulfed in flames time of the Olympics. Many beers, many Canadians, many with flags, concerts etc etc.. In short much of anything. I am really pleased to have lived all this joy from within, but I'm also glad that it only lasts 15 days, to find our city a few (many?) Calmer. Not that I'm tired of big badabeus full of Canadian beer screaming "Go Canada Go!" all day but ...
So where to start? Well why not by the opening ceremony of yours! Finally the dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony a reality. And yes because I could not pay me a place for real ceremony. But anyway, to see what effect this show (yes the dress rehearsal was good I know). It was really something, great!
yes the picture is rotten but it was absolutely prohibited to take, I already take unnecessary risks (defying the ban in Canada what a story!) To take this picture.
And for those who do not know, I worked for the Olympics in the Olympic Village, athletes in the restaurant. I served breakfast and lunch to athletes and their coaches. Again I am glad to have done so again this is something to be at the heart of the Olympics, but I'm also relieved it's over! I could hardly bear all the smiles of the Russians and Chinese who ask for food (a touch of irony?). I had much less trouble to bear by the bodies of our national hockey players to breakfast ... mmmm! 8 pancakes, 4 eggs and 18 slices of bacon at breakfast ptit, it makes sense!
And special dedication to the smiles of U.S. athletes who were adorable (and yes sorry mom but the Americans were nicer) as Yannick Happiness, (which is aptly named) our French skater. Cons by reference to the fair free-stylers in any genre, who prennet all for conquerors and Tombeux, style surfer very little for me. As for Brian Joubert, he lived with his mother in town. I also saw Schwarzneneger (which I did not recognize) who came to take her lil bf with athletes and 2-3 other people that I do not know ...

So during the Olympics, each country has installed his "house", a space that wants to be close to the center, friendly and open to the public to discover its culture. Apart from France who was barricaded in a mansion Louis XIV furniture and completely eccentric, and closed to the public at that! done, but I must say that in reality the houses in which I returned (after of course more than 30 minutes of tail), well it was more ... boring. Not much to see, so I quickly abandoned.

Nothing to see, but they had installed a zip line in the center City class too! But hey, wait several hours for a few seconds of happiness ... too little for me! For cons, the Olympics were an opportunity for us to confirm the hypothesis that Canadians love the queues! I think when they see one, they fit and are waiting patiently ... um ... what weird people
At Enlightenment we have been spoiled too:
Fireworks DAILY (yes daily) in Yaletown, we saw every day in our lounge ( me who does not like fireworks like I was spoiled!)
Behind the boats, the show of lasers, rather funny actually. Internet people could create their own shows. Ju made me one, but we went to bed too early we missed!
At festive, the best was still the multitude of concerts gratos everywhere! We did thoroughly enjoyed, especially at the Place de Francophonie, I'll let you see:
True Wonder of the Olympics: My ancestors. This Quebec group makes us dance in the rain, then the singer was very charming highly available ... a beautiful moment. In short we took appointment in July, they just happen in France!

Julien went to a game of Hockey: Finland (bronze) against Belarus
should not die stupid, so we went to a women's curling event. So the good thing is we were in 2nd place, ahead of Canada-Denmark match. The dark side is that curling is definitely ... uh ... long! For those who do not follow curling is a "sport" where a person throws a boulder on the ice and his teammates sweep the ice (what a strange idea!) To try to deflect the trajectory to reach the target. It is a good bowling on ice.
So here, now the Canadians won the gold medal in hockey, the only thing that interested the people here, actually. And it made a lot of noise:
