The long interruption of the blog is in large part due to 3 weeks of holidays spent with my parents (and in small part to the laziness ...!). Who said holiday said intense! Despite the sore knee of my mommy was very profitable for 3 weeks. First
ballad Buntzen Lake, about forty minutes from Vancouver by car.
After being growled at by 2 big dogs (the Bayard family not known for his temerity to face our friends the dogs ..) we changed direction to embark on a path without a dog ... but as we will only return infested Bear!
quick stop back at 'field goose':
And finally how cute starfish become unappealing to a lot!
then departure to Vancouver Island, where this year we have thrown our vests for our getaway ten days. Last year, the Rockies it was very hard to match!
brief stop in Chemainus, international capital of the mural!
Branch Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. The winter has finally decided that May was right to visit us does not prevent us to spend several hours in the Museum of Victoria. I recommend very strongly that museum visitors British Columbians, it's worth it!
The parliament of British Columbia
In the series the "unusual" ..
And yes to Canada, everyone respects the rules .. without exception! Then we're back
on the road, crossing to Nanaimo to get back freshly Juju (bredouille!) from France. After braving the rain, snow, fog, we arrived in Ucluelet, where we settle into our log cabin on the banks of an inlet where the fauna and flora are at the appointment.
the other side of the shore, a bear comes to his digestive stroll.
Eagles ubiquitous during our trip
We donned the uniforms of Jacques Cousteau to go to discover the local wildlife zodiac. And instead of whales and other otters promised, it was rich in emotions, 3 hours zodiac launched at sea at full speed! Not had time to see whales!
and as you can see it offset with other seals and sea lions!
few days Ucluelet therefore, the time to discover the National Park between Ucluelet and Tofino, and its beautiful beaches
On the way there was of course arrested Cathedral Grove to see the big zarbres

we stopped on the way to Campbell River, history of going for salmon. In fact the place is known for great fishing. Those are our men wriggling and this will not buy a fishing license and lease sticks.
And that ti not my shod juju that something .. ah, the world record in the largest salmon caught will fall today ...
but what's that?
and yes juju has caught a bird! a first in this category! So you
will understand, we did not eat fresh fish that night!
After this great moment and a well deserved rest, which we are going to Port Hardy, board the ferry to Prince Rupert.
the way small step at Telegraph Cove
The cruise is great we see killer whales.
The outward journey was "decorated" with cries and crap kids picked up en route to Bella Bella, and "supervised" by a team of animators brainless ... brief return is decided we will take a cab!
Arrival in Prince Rupert, therefore twenty hours later, we took advantage of two days there before returning: admire the way up to Terrace and the Museum of Northern First Nations.
The atmosphere is in good shape? :-)
That's a bit in terms of Escape on our beautiful, and here are some pictures of our friends crossed the road. (We crossed several ...! Drive phew!)
And then a series of all weird cross trees ...
those there do not seem shy ...!
Two more hours of small ferry to Vancouver ... finally
But back in Vancouver will not mean the end of the holiday or rest!
we go again on the road in the sunshine and warmth towards Whistler and its scenic route.
The last ride will be held in the botanical garden at UBC, not to advise, in fact not really terrible, especially when we know the Queen Elizabeth and her neighbor Vand Dusen Botanical Garden.
Still some pictures ...
And voila! 3 weeks of wonderful discoveries!
Otherwise we go back soon in France in early July. The future is not still very sure, but we'll see! Before leaving, we have a few escapades: Seattle and Montreal are already programmed ...!!
